Logitech Debuts Harmony Home Automation – Harmony Living Home

At Digital Living our customers come first and we arent here to just sell gear to them. We want all of our customers to be able to control their Digital Living installed, or integrated equipment with ease.

We use Harmony remotes for the more “basic” systems that don’t need advanced programming and our clients seem to love the product. A lot of AV companies out there want to sell the client on expensive remotes that need peripheral gear for hidden equipment, licenses for iPad, or tablets/phones, and we know why they do it, they make money on the remote. In an industry where margins have shrunk for the AV contractor..we get it, but it still comes back to the customer having an easy to use system, and Logitech makes it easy.

Digital Living has found that for our “basic customers” the easy to use features on the new Harmony Ultimate keep our customers happy and we don’t get unnecessary call backs.

Now that Logitech is to expand its feature offerings on the Harmony Ultimate for home automation, Digital Living customers will be ready to control more than just their main living room home theater….very cool!

if you have a Harmony remote, or want one and you live in Sonoma, Napa, Calistoga. St. Helena, Marin, Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Petaluma, Novato, Terra Linda, San Rafael, Tiburon, Greenbrae, Windsor, Healdsburg, and surrounding areas…Get a hold of Digital Living.

It seems like only a year ago that Logitech was trying to dump the Harmony brand. Oh wait a minute; that was last year. The company not only decided to keep the brand, but now they are branching it out into home automation with the newly announced Harmony Living Home line.

The lineup will launch with a brand-new Harmony Hub, two new remotes, and a very interesting adapter.

The Logitech Harmony Home Hub is really the backbone of the entire line. It features support for RF, IR, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and uses those wireless technologies to relay commands to devices from either of the new Harmony remotes or the Harmony Mobile App. Logitech is packaging the Hub with both of the new remotes, but it can also be purchased separately for $99.99.

The first (and most expensive) of the two package options is the Logitech Harmony Ultimate Home, which as an MSRP of $349.99. Available in black or white, this setup includes the Harmony Home Hub and a remote with a 2.4-inch color touchscreen.
